| Thank-you for visiting my web
site to find out more about me and what I stand for. The site
is currently under construction and I will be adding more content
over the next few months.
First I would like to mention that I am not a "career
politician", nor am I an attorney. My roots are in law
enforcement where I honed my people skills as a mediator and
delegate of the law. It
is my belief that running for a political office is probably the
most scrutinizing job interview anyone can be involved in. So
please feel free to take a closer look at who I am.
Secondly, I am running as an independent candidate. My reasoning
for this is because I feel the two primary parties do not represent
my views, and more importantly, the views of most people. If
you say Democrat, most people think you're a liberal. If you
say Republican, most people think you're a conservative. To be
either of these labels does not fit where I stand. These two
parties have become one extreme or the other. I believe most
people are a little liberal and a little conservative, yet mostly
make decisions based on the issue, rather than a political label of
conservative or liberal.
Finally, if I am elected, it is my goal to work with both
conservatives and liberals to find a common ground that best
represents the interests of my district and my constituents, the
people! Far too often politicians pander to lobbyists, large
contributors to their campaign and special interest groups that have
nothing to do with the people they are elected to represent. A
vote for me is a vote for yourself. I will do my best to
represent you in every possible way I can. These are not false
promises, this is my mission.
In the future, I will be establishing several lines of
communication through my web site so that anyone with any concerns
may contact me directly. Some of these features will be a blog
section, live chats and direct email forms so that every citizen has
the opportunity to be heard. These features will be available
in the near future, so please check back regularly. |
