I am 42 years of age. I am the eldest of three siblings. My family and I are of Greek heritage and also of the Greek Orthodox faith. My wife, (Christina), and I have been married for the past 21 years and are raising our two children.. I have been retired since 2005 after a 17 year career in Law Enforcement.

I was born on January 30th, 1966, in Bielefeld, Germany. My parents were living and working in Germany, during the 1960’s. Both my parents are of Greek heritage. After my birth, I was brought to Greece, (Macadonia region), where I was raised by my grandmother for approximately two years. My parents continued to work in Germany during that time.

In 1968, after my sister’s birth, (who was also born in Bielefeld, Germany), our family migrated to the United States. We took up residence in Fairview, New Jersey. In 1969 the third sibling, (my brother), was born in the United States.

In 1973, my parents, my sister, and I became Naturalized Citizens of the United States.

During my up bringing in New Jersey, I attended Lincoln Elementary School and graduated in 1980. I then attended Cliffside Park High School. In 1983, during the latter part of my junior year, I had to quit high school due to an unforeseen family medical illness.

My father suffered a heart attack which required him to undergo by-pass surgery. Due to this circumstance, I had to operate the family business, (a wrought iron business). In 1984, during the course of operating the family business, I was able to obtain my GED, (High School Diploma). I continued to operate the family business up until 1987 when we sold the business.

After selling the family business, my parents decided to relocate to Florida due to my father’s health. My two siblings and I followed. We took up residence within Tarpon Springs, Florida and have been living in this area since. (My father died in 1998 due to another heart-attack).

In August of 1987, while vacationing in Greece, I was blessed to meet Christina, (my wife), who was born and raised in Greece. (If your thinking this was an arranged marriage you would be mistaken). One month after meeting Christina we were married. Since then, the lord blessed us with two children who were both born in New Port Richey, Florida.

In 1988 I began my Law Enforcement career with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office as a Detention Deputy. I worked at the Pinellas County Jail. During the six years I was employed with the Sheriff’s Office, (from 1988 until 1994), I obtained my dual Law Enforcement Certification.

In 1994 I opted to continue my career with the Tarpon Springs Police Department as a Police Officer. My decision to take employment with the Tarpon Springs Police Department at the time was to better serve the community which I resided within.

During my tenure with the Tarpon Springs Police Department, I sustained a disabling back injury during the apprehension of a criminal suspect. Due to this injury, I was unable to continue my career in Law Enforcement and had to regretfully retire in 2005.

Throughout my Law Enforcement career, I have attended numerous training programs and schooling and received certificates relating to and specializing in various fields of Law Enforcement. I have also received several commendations and letters from the public relating to my work ethics, leadership, and performances. (Click onto “credentials” to view my certifications, commendations and letters).

Since my retirement, I have been assisting my wife with her businesses. Christina owns two retail businesses, which are located within the historic area of the “Sponge Docks” in Tarpon Springs, Florida. I have also been dedicating a lot of my time interacting with my two children and their activities.
