IMMIGRATION
Solving illegal
immigration does not require our elected officials to hold a degree
in rocket science. As the saying goes, “You don’t have to be a
rocket scientist to figure this out”. It’s amazing what happens when
you add common sense to a problem. The end result usually is an
educated solution.
Unfortunately, our
elected officials either can’t come up with or don’t want to come up
with a solution to solve illegal immigration. It’s one of the two.
The one thing that they do exceptionally well and have acquired the
knowledge for is bickering back and forth,
To wit:
Build a
fence--------------------------------------------------------------------Don’t
build a fence
Give them
amnesty------------------------------------------------------Don’t
give them amnesty
Give them Social
Security benefits-----------------Don’t give them Social Security
benefits
Give them a
Driver’s License -----------------------------Don’t give them a
Driver’s License
Comprehensive
Reform Act----------------------------------- No Comprehensive
Reform Act
Anyone who is not
aware of the monetary value attached to illegal immigration allow me
to help you. Over $300 Billion Dollars a year is spent on
illegal immigration. Does this change your perspective on how
serious this problem has become? I hope it does.
Our tax paying
dollars are spent on the following to support illegal immigration;
welfare-----food
assistant programs-----medicaid-----school
education-----incarceration--------social services-----suppressed
American wages-------U.S. dollars leaving this country.
We, as a country,
need to put an end to this. Illegal immigration is on the rise each
and every day. This is why I have come up with a solution which
consists of several steps that need to be followed to resolve this
issue.
Step One:
An enclosed border
needs to be built. There are no ifs, ands, or buts, about it.
Without a secure border there would be no way to solve this problem.
This would not only solve the amount of money spent on illegal
immigration but it will also make this country safer.
Step Two:
Every illegal
immigrant shall register with Immigrations within a ninety day
period. Proof of their identity needs to be established. Any and all
documents’ regarding their identity needs to have their country’s
seal on it, (No Exceptions). A fine will be imposed for entering
this country illegally. The fine will be paid during the
registration process.
Once registered,
each person will be issued an Immigration / Identification card.
They will be required to carry the card on them at all times. They
will begin the process of becoming an American Citizen from the
beginning, (no cutting the line). Any person convicted of committing
a crime, (Felony), within this country, will not be eligible to
register and will be deported.
Step Three:
Once registered,
any person who is currently working will begin to pay taxes. They
will also be able to apply for a driver’s license. Any employer who
hires an undocumented illegal immigrant shall be fined upon the
first offense. Any subsequent offense shall be criminal in nature.
Step Four:
Any
person who fails to register within the ninety day period will
be deported. Local, State, and Federal Law Enforcement will have the
authority to detain and arrest the person for deportation purposes
after the ninety day period.
