INSURANCE

How long are we going to let the insurance industry delegate to whom they want to insure, how much they want to charge, and where they want to do business? Until we as home owners, vehicle owners, business owners, and as American citizens speak out and become one voice, the insurance companies will continue on with their plans.

This is an undue financial burden placed upon every single citizen that is required to carry some type of insurance coverage. That said, allow me to express my views on what I believe needs to be done to alleviate some of this burden.

All fifty states must adopt strict rules and regulations regarding the practices of every insurance company. It is inexcusable that the insurance industry dictates on how they want to conduct their business practices.

Any insurance company doing business within this country will offer every home owner, vehicle owner, and business owner coverage at an affordable rate. No insurance company will delegate to whom and what type of coverage they are willing to offer. If they want to do business it will be across the board. No more picking and choosing.

That said, I am not just criticizing just the insurance industry. They are in business to make a profit which is understandable. I am for capitalism in this country but to a reasonable degree that excludes gouging and discriminatory practices. When it gets to the point where it is now and our elected officials fail to control Insurance Company tactics, that’s when it becomes inexcusable. When it gets to the point when your insurance premium equals or surpasses your mortgage payment that is when it becomes intolerable.
